Sustainable Schools

As a result of the SHARE Open Forum about sustainable schools in May 2009, a group of students, teachers, parents and volunteers organised to continue to meet together to share what the different schools are doing and help each other to be more sustainable.

A large focus has been to share ideas to ensure the new buildings being built as part of the government’s schools’ stimulus funding. There is also great activity regarding school kitchen gardens, composting and worm farms, recycling, water tanks and solar panels…
